2nd Brain is an AI-powered learning platform that helps students study more effectively through:

Account Creation

• • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account

• • One person may not maintain more than one free account

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in harmful behavior.

• • Share generated study materials with classmates (where permitted)
• • Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement

You May Not:

• • Attempt to reverse engineer or copy our AI models
• • Share your account credentials with others
• • Upload harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content
• • Attempt to overwhelm our systems or circumvent usage limits
• • Use the Service to cheat on exams or violate academic integrity policies

Your Content

• • You retain ownership of all materials you upload to 2nd Brain
• • You grant us a license to process your content to provide our services
• • You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and process your content
• • We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable laws

Our Content

• • 2nd Brain's software, AI models, and platform are our intellectual property
• • AI-generated summaries and flashcards are created for your personal use
• • You may not redistribute or commercialize AI-generated content
• • Our trademarks and branding remain our exclusive property

Free Plan

Our Seedling plan is free forever with usage limits. No credit card required.

Paid Subscriptions

• • Subscriptions are billed monthly or per semester as selected
• • You may cancel your subscription at any time
• • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
• • We may change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers

Refunds

If you are not satisfied with our service, we will refund your payment—no questions asked.

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of your information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

• • AI Accuracy: AI-generated content may contain errors. Always verify important information.
• • Educational Tool: 2nd Brain is a study aid, not a replacement for learning or critical thinking.
• • Academic Integrity: You are responsible for following your institution's academic policies.
• • Service Availability: We strive for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.
• • No Warranties: The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 2nd Brain shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• • Loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses
• • Damages resulting from your use or inability to use the service
• • Damages resulting from any unauthorized access to your account
• • Damages resulting from AI-generated content inaccuracies

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 2nd Brain and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

Either party may terminate these Terms at any time:

• • You may stop using the service and delete your account
• • We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms
• • Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately
• • We will retain your data for 30 days after termination for account recovery

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the service. Your continued use of 2nd Brain after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of San Francisco County, California.
